Eksibir describes itself as a non-profit collective space shaped by spontaneous collaboration rather than individual ambition — a place that resists the commodification of subculture and grows through collective effort. Over the years, the Beyoğlu space hosted concerts, gatherings, and exhibitions, bringing together musicians, artists, and different forms of communal practice. Songs Upon Bones was a three-day event and group exhibition held in the midst of the pandemic, bringing together screenings and performances. The exhibition/event took its spirit from La Loba, the wolf woman from Clarissa Pinkola Estés’ Women Who Run With the Wolves. In the story, La Loba wanders through the desert collecting bones. She sings over them until they return to life. Wherever La Loba exists, life continues to emerge. During a time marked by isolation, songs were sung over bones collected from streets, terraces and empty building surfaces of Beyoglu— searching for ways to bring life back to what had been forgotten. I presented Ne Ayaksın 2020 (2020), an installation bringing together drawings, sculpture, and ceramics.
